I started Agape Voice Publishing out of my greatest pain which was being left by a man. I wrote the shame, humiliation, and betrayal down in a terrible piece of work and it saved my life. I am a loyal person to a flaw. I have never cheated on anyone but after trying a second marriage with a man that was incarcerated, I realized that I lacked a love for myself. I wanted someone to walk the journey with me more than I wanted what was to come from the journey. And the truth is God had such greatness awaiting. So, I realized I needed “love”, which is Agape and I needed to speak my truth, which is the Voice. And God manifested both of those things through this amazing organization.

My writing beginnings began in my hometown of Long Island. I wasn’t a great student, but I had a great imagination. I loved writing letters before email and texting. Someone told me one of notes was great and I took this gift to college, never using it fully. But I did recognize that I had a gift. I became an educator in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Maryland in which I wrote just for my students and won teaching awards for writing. Finally, the heartbreak I experienced in North Carolina gave me the insight to publish my work.

Who is Dearest Price? I think I am just getting to know her at 50. She is a complicated, compassionate, and caring individual who loves her kids to life. Her best friend is her daughter Amber and her “sonshine” Justus, keeps her focused on what truly matters. Dearest is a preacher, a writer, a teacher. She is an entrepreneur to the fullest. Always in search of love and using her voice to edify, she loves God and is so grateful for the amazing journey she has been given. What So, what do we do at Agape Voice? Well, we started with just writing my book, “Disguised as God” but then we realized the need was great to offer workshops on publishing, tutoring for students and book development for authors. We also now have a brother company called, “Black Line Books”, that focuses on the genre of urban fiction. In a nutshell we are a full-service publishing firm that provides training to all ages.
